How to Choose a Good Paper Cutter

You've been asked to purchase a paper cutter for the office that you work in. This isn't something that you've ever bought before so you want to make sure that you know what you're supposed to be buying before you head off to the store.

Here is a list of questions to ask your boss about the paper cutter before you go to buy it:
  • Should I get a manual paper cutter or an electric paper cutter?
  • Is there a particular brand of paper cutter that you would like me to purchase (such as a gbc paper cutter)?
  • What is the budget for the purchase of this paper cutter?
  • What size requirements of paper cutter do we need? For example, what is the average size of a stack of paper that the machine will need to cut?
  • What are the minimum or maximum dimensions that are necessary for the place that we're going to be storing the new paper cutter?
  • Are there any other specifications that you can think of which I should take into consideration when choosing this paper cutter?

You want to be thorough in figuring out what you need before you go shopping for any business. That will allow you to show up at the store with a basic idea of what you need in mind. This makes it easier to do cost comparisons between items and to allow you to pick the best equipment for the business.
